Terms & conditions
These terms apply to every order placed with Tees & Things, whether by WhatsApp, email, in person or through our website. By placing an order or sending us artwork, you accept them.
We print exactly what you send us
Every file must be print ready when you send it. We don't edit, correct or redesign artwork unless you've asked for that and accepted a quote. Please check spelling, sizes, colours and backgrounds before sending.
We only start printing once your payment has been received and reflects in our bank account. Orders that aren't paid aren't printed or scheduled.
Our free gang sheet builder helps you make a print-ready file for your DTF order with us: it checks sharpness and backgrounds, can remove solid backgrounds and enhance low-resolution artwork, and lays everything out at the right size. Download the file it makes and send it to us.
1. Who we are
Tees & Things is a sole proprietorship based in Pretoria North, Pretoria. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices. Contact us on WhatsApp at or by email at .
2. Prices and quotes
- Prices on our website and the gang sheet builder's totals are estimates. The price on the quote or invoice we send you is the price you pay.
- Prices exclude delivery unless your quote says otherwise.
- We may change our prices at any time. Changes don't affect orders that are already paid.
3. Payment
- All orders are paid in full by EFT before we print. We only start printing once payment has been received.
- We start printing only once the payment reflects in our bank account. A proof of payment alone doesn't start your order.
- When you place an order, you'll receive an invoice. Pay it by immediate (instant) EFT and use the invoice number as your payment reference, so your payment reflects straight away and we can match it.
- Quotes from our gang sheet builder are estimates. Your invoice may be adjusted if your files need changes or delivery costs apply, and we'll tell you before you pay.
4. Your artwork
- You're responsible for your artwork. This includes spelling, grammar, layout, sizing, colours, resolution and background removal. We print the files as supplied.
- For the best result, send PNG files with a transparent background at 300 DPI at the size you want printed.
- We may point out problems we notice, but we're not required to check your files. Not noticing a problem doesn't make us responsible for it.
- We don't reprint or refund orders because of mistakes or low quality in the artwork you supplied.
- For 3D printing, we only print from print-ready STL, 3MF or OBJ files. We don't design, repair or scale models unless you've accepted a quote for it, and we aren't responsible for problems caused by the model itself.
- If you'd like us to prepare, fix or design artwork, ask for a quote first. Design work is charged separately.
5. Our gang sheet builder
- The builder is only for DTF transfer orders printed by Tees & Things. It's free to use for that purpose, and the files it makes may not be used to order prints elsewhere.
- It works in your browser, and your files are only sent to us when you choose to send them.
- Its artwork checks, background removal and quality enhancement are automatic tools. They help, but they don't guarantee a perfect result. Check the preview carefully before you send your file.
- Enhancement makes artwork sharper and smoother for print. It can't add detail that wasn't in the original file.
- A file made with the builder is still your artwork. Section 4 applies to it.
6. Copyright and content
- By sending artwork, you confirm that you own it or have permission to print it, including any logos, brand names, characters and photos in it.
- You accept responsibility for any claim that your artwork breaks someone else's rights.
- We may refuse any order we believe is illegal, offensive or infringes someone's copyright or trademark. If we refuse a paid order, we refund you in full.
7. Colours and finish
- Colours on screens differ from colours in print. Small differences between your screen and the final product are normal and aren't a fault.
- The material and colour of the item being printed can change how colours look.
- Small differences in colour and placement between items in the same order, or between separate orders, are normal for custom printing.
8. Turnaround
- Every order is made to order. We don't hold pre-printed stock.
- Your turnaround time starts only once your payment has been received. Standard turnaround is 2–5 working days after your payment reflects, depending on the size of your order. These are estimates, not guarantees.
- We aren't responsible for delays outside our control, such as power outages, supplier shortages or courier delays. We'll keep you updated if your order is affected.
9. Collection and delivery
- You can collect your order in Pretoria North at a time we agree with you. We share the exact collection address when your order is ready.
- We also deliver with PUDO to the locker of your choice. The delivery cost depends on the box size your order needs and is shown on your quote and invoice.
- Make sure your delivery details are correct. Extra costs caused by incorrect details are for your account.
- Once your parcel is with PUDO, delivery times are set by the courier. We'll share the tracking details and help you follow up on any delayed parcel.
10. Pressing onto your items
- We don't supply T-shirts or other garments at the moment. We supply the prints, and can press them onto garments or items you supply.
- If you bring your own garments or items for us to press, make sure they're suitable for heat pressing.
- We take care with every item, but we're not responsible for damage caused by items that can't handle heat, such as some nylon, waterproof or heat-sensitive fabrics. Ask us first if you're unsure.
- Follow the pressing and washing instructions we give you to make your prints last.
11. Problems with your order
- Please check your order as soon as you receive it, and tell us about any problem quickly, with photos.
- If something is wrong because of our printing, we'll reprint it or refund you, as required by the Consumer Protection Act.
- Because every order is custom made to your specifications, we can't accept returns or give refunds if you change your mind.
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under South African law.
12. Cancellations
- You can cancel an order for a full refund before we start printing it.
- Once printing has started, the order can't be cancelled, because the items are made specially for you.
13. Your personal information
- We collect your name, contact details, delivery address and artwork only to quote, make and deliver your order, and to contact you about it.
- We don't sell or share your information, except with a courier when you choose delivery.
- We keep your artwork so repeat orders are easy. Ask us at any time and we'll delete it.
- We handle your information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). See our privacy policy for the details.
14. Our liability
As far as the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or event costs, caused by a delayed or faulty order.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
